The Father figure

Earl Silas Tupper(1907-1983)
An American innovator and amateur inventor with many a strange idea, mostly of practical utility, was a creative and adamant man whose acumen showed in the creation of ordinary and familiar household products that combined thrift with post war (WW II) yearning of modernity and modernization.
While polythene was being perfected, Tupper started working as a model maker in Leomister, Massachusetts, under license of the chemical giant Du Pont in 1937. The discovery of Nylon would later be attributed to Du Pont. And having familiarized with the first plastics, he founded in 1939 “Tupper Plastics Company”.

The Mother of Sales

Brownie Wise
True to her name “Wise”, this remarkable young woman revolutionized the selling of Tupperware products, when the tried and tested methods of selling failed to achieve the desired results for Tupperware, with her direct one-to-one sales method, post 1949.
Brownie Wise with her PolyT Parties broke all sales records, when she convinced Tupper to change his distribution system radically by only using home parties and Tupperware Hostesses who would demonstrate the products to a select group of female friends.

The Legacy

Another Social Initiative is the Tupperware Charitable Dispensary in Gurgaon, managed by Quota International, an NGO. Quota International is an International Service Organization working towards serving the underprivileged sections of the society. It is more than 80 years old and has more than 8000 members in 14 countries.
In India, Quota International, among various projects, runs a charitable dispensary supported by Tupperware India. The dispensary situated in Gurgaon (Haryana) provides medical services and free medicines to underprivileged people living in the nearby areas.

CARE4FOOD TIPS FOR LUNCH

  • Leftover rice can be made into Mexican, Tomato, Lemon rice or Chinese fried rice.
  • Leftover chapattis can be made into rolls with different fillings.
  • Dry vegetables can be made into koftas, stuffings for sandwiches.
  • Leftover dals can be used to make paranthas, cheelas.

Planning

Plan your meals for a week. Check the ingredients in your kitchen, then write a shopping list for just the extras you need.

Stick to the list

Take your list with you and stick to it when you're in the store. Don't be tempted by offers and don't shop when you're hungry — you'll come back with more than you need.

Keep a healthy fridge

Check that the seals of your container in the fridge are sealed properly and also check the fridge temperature. Food needs to be stored between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius.

Don't throw it away

Fruit that is just going soft can be made into smoothies, shakes or purees. Vegetables that are starting to get soft can be made into soup.

 

Use up your leftovers

Instead of throwing leftovers into the bin, why not use them as tomorrow's ingredients?

 

Rotate

When you buy new food from the store bring all the older items in your cupboards and fridge to the front. Put the new food towards the back and you run less risk of finding something mouldy at the back of your cupboard!

 

Serve small amounts

Serving less is better than wasting food. Everyone can come back for a second helping especially children, who rarely estimate how much they can eat at once. Any leftovers can be cooled, stored in the fridge and used another day.

 

Buy what you need

Buy loose fruits and vegetables instead of pre packed, so you can buy exactly the amount you need.

 

Turn it into garden food

Some food waste is unavoidable, so why not set up a compost bin for fruit, vegetable peelings and tealeaves? It promotes faster decomposition and encourages the bacteria that make soil healthier. In a few months you will end up with rich compost for your plants.

Freeze Puree

Convert your vegetables (Tomatoes,Spinach, etc.) into purees and keep it in Tupperware Freezer Mate and freeze. They can be frozen for 5-6 months and stay in perfect condition.

 

Freezing Sauces

You can freeze your sauces such as ketchups, imli chutney, pasta sauce, etc. These may thicken while they’re in the freezer so add extra water while thawing.

Tupperware products are guaranteed by the Company against cracking, warping, peeling and chipping under normal domestic use. There may be instances where the Company no longer carries parts or products that are brought in for replacement. Under such circumstances the Company will provide alternative parts or products that offer similar functionalities and of similar value to the parts or product brought in. The Company reserves the right to accept and/or to reject alternative product choices proposed by the Consultant and/or customers for a product replacement

Conditions for Alternative Product Warranty Replacement

  • Where a part is no longer available, all other components or parts that make the product complete must be brought in for replacement, even though these parts are in good condition (seals, base, handle, spout, etc).
  • The alternative product chosen for warranty replacement should be an item from our regular catalogue at the stated price.
  • If the alternative product used for warranty replacement is lesser in value, there will be no refunds.
  • If the alternative product used for warranty replacement is higher in value, the Consultant or customer will be required to pay for the difference in value. This is called top-up value.
  • The top-up value for the replaced product will not be included for commissions and bonuses under the Tupperware Business plan or any other awards.

The Guarantee

Certain products in our catalogue are marked with the "Q" symbol. These are not covered by the Lifetime Guarantee but are still guaranteed by Tupperware Brands to be free from manufacturing defects. They will be replaced, if defective, provided they are returned in accordance with Product Return & Replacement policies and procedures.
